Do you have any online documentation or user guides?
Yes. To view our online guide, click here.
How does your service work?
Our service works by routing your incoming email to our Spam firewall. We do this by becoming the MX (Mail exchange) record for your domain. This simple change can be done by your Network Administrator or ISP and directs email addressed to your domain to our Spam filter first (We are here to help with this change). Seconds later, your email arrives Spam and virus free.
Are there any requirements to use your service?
he only requirement is that you have your own domain name for your email (such as www.mycompany.com). Our service does not work with non-domain email such as GMail, Yahoo Mail, Comcast, Verizon or other POP3 providers.

Is there an extra charge for virus blocking capabilities?
No, there are no extra charges for virus blocking capabilities.
How current are your spam and virus definitions?
Spam rules and virus definitions are automatically updated hourly. This assures we are able to block even the newest Spam and virus threats.
Who do I contact if I experience problems or have questions?
We are here for you! We have a fully staffed help desk available by telephone (yes you can speak directly to a knowledgeable technician!) email or web to resolve problems or answer any questions you may have. We understand the critical nature of email today and are here for you!
Is there a User Guide available for your service?
Yes! We have a full user guide available in PDF format located under the contact us section of our site.
Will I get false positives?
Our false positive rate is one of the lowest in the industry. For any false positives the sender will receive a bounce message indicating the email did not go through.
How is Spam filtered?
Incoming email is routed through our Spam Firewall. Spam is tagged, quarantined or blocked based on preferences. Legitimate email is allowed through to the recipient. Our Spam firewall uses the most accurate filtering technology available including Bayesian analysis.
What happens to quarantined email?
Quarantined email is sent to a mailbox located on our Spam firewall. The user that the email was sent to will receive an email alerting them that they have questionable email that has been quarantined. They can tag the messages from within the alert email and choose to allow the email to be delivered or flag the email as Spam and delete it. Email containing viruses are automatically deleted. The user will receive an automated alert email informing them that an email was sent to them that contained a virus.
Can each user maintain their own white and black lists?
Yes! Each user is able to log into their Quarantine inbox and manage their preferences via the Web. This allows them to whitelist (allow all mail to be received) or blacklist (block all email) by a senders email address or domain. One users preferences do not effect any other user.
Will your service work with my email server or Internet provider?
Yes! There are no compatibility issues with any email server software or Internet service provider. Our service is simply acting as a "middle-man" between the sender of your email and your actual email box. Once our Spam firewall scans the email to determine if it is Spam or contains a virus it is passed along to your actual mail box.
Will your service work with my email client software?
Yes! Our service does not require any hardware or software on your end at all. We do offer plug-ins for popular email clients (like Microsoft Outlook). This plug in allows you to click one icon to report an email as Spam and delete it. This is used for the few emails that do slip through to your inbox. When you classify a received email message as Spam it tells our Spam firewall to prevent future delivery of this type of email.
Do you offer any additional capabilities if I use Microsoft Exchange Server?
Only applicable if you use Microsoft Exchange server (Note: Exchange Server is not required to use our service). A "Dictionary" or NDR (Non-Delivery Report) attack is a sequence of spam messages that attempts delivery to every possible recipient name on a server. Microsoft Exchange attempts to protect against "Dictionary" attacks by accepting messages for all recipients rather than rejecting invalid recipients and letting a spam sender know which accounts are valid. Unfortunately, this often leads to very high Exchange server CPU loads because the server still attempts to send one or more non-delivery notification for every invalid recipient.
Our Spam Firewall MS Exchange Accelerator uses the LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) service built into Exchange to verify recipients before delivering messages to the MS Exchange server and consuming valuable resources. This prevents NDR attacks while not effecting your Exchange server's load. |
